Welcome! Whether you’re here intentionally or as a stumble, I thank you for taking a peek. Every woman and man needs to know the importance of pregnancy health from conception to the end, following through postpartum. There are various pregnancy diseases but one in particular is critical, uninformed and often misunderstood. The name is gestational trophoblastic neoplasia disease or GTD. The most common form of this disease is molar pregnancy, some of which can turn malignant called choriocarcinoma (placental cancer). This pregnancy disease causes pregnancy loss, non-viable pregnancy, treatment with surgery, chemo, and even cancer. Everyone’s case is different but the one that that remains is high hormone levels of b-hcg and abnormalities at conception. Most molar pregnancies are not malignant but still have to be monitored and possibly treated until b-hcg levels drop back down to normal.
